I already have a blog where I keep all my creative work. My life is changing a lot at the moment and there are lots of issues, beliefs and such that I find myself musing for hours over. I've decided that it might be a good idea to write my musings down somewhere. I have no idea where this will go so it will be an adventure, an exciting one I hope.

Believe in Yourself

"But the men who had gone up with him said, 'We can't attack those people; they are stronger than we are.' " Numbers 13:31. God needs you! But if you don't believe in yourself, if you don't believe in the ability God has placed inside of you, you will discount yourself. You will relegate yourself to the sidelines and watch other people be used by God in your place.

"God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." 1 Corinthians 1:27. God deliberately chooses the weak and foolish of this world to do His work to make them equal to the strong and wise in worldly eyes, so that no mortal can ever have reason to glorify or boast in his own flesh. God is not as concerned with your weaknesses as you are. He sees them as small things that can be overcome, whereas we have a huge tendency to get extremely hung up about these weaknesses and let them eat away at us and have a real negative impact on our identity. This is because we are making the same mistake that the spies did in Numbers 13. They fixed their gaze solely on the giants instead of looking at God. We all have giants in our life but we don't need to stare at them. Instead, we need to stare at God. Keep our eyes firmly fixed on God and believe that He can do what He says He can. Your spirit wants to produce awesome things in your life, but if you always keep that spirit pushed down by negative attitudes, thoughts and words, and he will never rise up to bring you into the place God wants you to occupy, into the land He wants you to possess.
