I already have a blog where I keep all my creative work. My life is changing a lot at the moment and there are lots of issues, beliefs and such that I find myself musing for hours over. I've decided that it might be a good idea to write my musings down somewhere. I have no idea where this will go so it will be an adventure, an exciting one I hope.

Why is Godly behaviour important?

Matthew 5:16 - "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Romans 13:13 - "Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy."

As a Christian it is your duty to honour God and part of this means setting a good example to the world. You need to make sure that the world sees clearly all your godly ways. Going out, drinking far too much alcohol and getting up to promiscuous antics will you will not remember in the morning are not signs of a good Christian. Be the person that God will be proud to see.

Faith alone is enough for salvation, for you to be saved, but the evidence that your faith is genuine is seen by one and all through your behaviour. If your faith does not change your sinful behaviour then you need to ask yourself whether your confession of faith was genuine when you asked God to forgive your sins, enter your life and transform who you are.

The more Christians that make the decision to proclaim their faith, the great number of non-believers will be exposed to Christianity through us and then consequently may go on to be saved.

Luke 11:28 - "He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it." - When people see godly behaviour in you they will want to know what makes you different and they get curious. You are then presented with the wonderful opportunity of telling them all about God and is promises. And when you do this God will bless you. So bless other people with your godly ways so that they in turn can be blessed by God and then go on to bless others and so the cycle begins.

You see the importance of being godly now???
