I already have a blog where I keep all my creative work. My life is changing a lot at the moment and there are lots of issues, beliefs and such that I find myself musing for hours over. I've decided that it might be a good idea to write my musings down somewhere. I have no idea where this will go so it will be an adventure, an exciting one I hope.

Something needs to change 2

God will never ask you to do something that he will not enable you to do.

Joshua 1:1-3 - "After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses' aide: "Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them to the Israelites. I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses." - God has given us everything we need to have a blessed life. We need to get up and change. Do everything that we need to do to make the changes in our life. But first we need to change our minds and our attitudes. Do not spend any more time in a state of self pity, this is the enemy trying to push God out. Don't let him. You are far stronger than that. Make the decision to change! Then ask God to show you what you can do to improve a situation, then promise to do it.

Isaiah 60:1- "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you." - We are being urged to get up and change and not just sit waiting for God - or anyone else to do it for us. How many people out there ignore God's presence on a daily basis but then in a time of crisis or tragedy we ask where he was to stop the situation occurring?! 'Miracles come in cans not can'ts.' Do what you can do and God will do the rest. Don't pray for a miracle quick fix so that you don't have to do anything, God won't grant that. We have to pay some sort of price so that we learn not to make the same mistake again. You may be sat wondering why you are not getting your miracle. You're sat waiting for God to appear but actually God is waiting for you!

Judges 6:6-10 - God points out that if we had listened to him in the first place we wouldn't be in the mess that we find ourselves in. As a whole world we would not be in the mess we are in now if we had listened to God.

Judges 6:13-16 - You never know what God is going to ask you to do but you need to be prepared to do it. God will use your skills and if there are spots where your skills are lacking then he will join forces with you. Stop telling God what you are not and look at who he is! God needed someone, just one person to stand up and say "we can do this!". We need to constantly remember that we can do anything in Christ.

1 Samuel 16:1 - "The LORD said to Samuel, "How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king." - While we are consumed with mourning what we have lost, God already has a new plan for us, a better plan.

2 Kings 7:3-5 - "Now there were four men with leprosy
at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other, "Why stay here until we die? If we say, 'We'll go into the city' the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let's go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die." At dusk they got up and went to the camp of the Arameans. When they reached the edge of the camp, no one was there," - Are you going to make a change or just sit there and wait to die? The answer is - make a change! You can't just sit around all of your life being sad and full of self pity. Pity is not power. You can be pitiful or powerful, which would you rather be? Does something need to change or do you need to change something? If you are not happy with something, change it! Take control and start to make the changes that you want and need to see in your life. You never know what God will do after you have done your part.

Be the change you want to see in your life!
