I already have a blog where I keep all my creative work. My life is changing a lot at the moment and there are lots of issues, beliefs and such that I find myself musing for hours over. I've decided that it might be a good idea to write my musings down somewhere. I have no idea where this will go so it will be an adventure, an exciting one I hope.

What is salvation?

Romans 22-24 - "God puts people right through their faith in Jesus Christ. God does this to all who believe in Christ, because there is no difference at all: everyone has sinned and is far away from God's saving presence. But by the free gift of God's grace all are put right with him through Christ Jesus, who sets them free." - No matter who you are, sinner, criminal and such we are all made right with God by placing our faith in his son Jesus. No matter what we might like to believe we all fall short of God's high standard. I know some of you think you are perfect. Believe me when I say that God knows that deep down you are far from that, however with his unrelenting kindness declares that we are righteous.

Acts 4:12 - " Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" - Although it might sound rather exclusive, the Bible's claim of there only being one true way to salvation should not be read the wrong way. It is an expression of God's grace and kindness in letting the world know how to escape eternal judgement. Our God is a great God! We all want to be free and God is giving us the opportunity to be just that. You should seize it with all your might. God's invite to you is an open one, that's to say it's to every single person - including YOU!!

How can you be saved?

Romans 10:13 - "for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." - The Word of God promises you salvation. This means that if you ask Jesus for your sins to be forgiven you will be promised and gifted with an eternal, perfect life in heaven. You may literally shout out to God at the top of your voice for salvation or your desire may be expressed in silent prayer. There is no right or wrong way. The importance is placed on whether you confess and ask. Imagine the huge impact it will have on your life. Believe me, I'm there.

Acts 16:31 - "They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your family." - Jesus promises you that if you believe in him you will be saved. The one requirement being that you wholly accept what Jesus did for you - God sent Jesus to take away our sins by receiving our punishment for them on the cross. At the point that you truly believe that Jesus died to save you from your sins and then rose again to give you eternal life is the moment when you are saved, and what an amazing and awesome place that is to reach!

Ephesians 2:8 - "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God" - For some people the gift that God gave them and the offer he gave us are far beyond their comprehension. The plain fact is that we don't have to understand, we just have to believe. We can help ourselves achieve this by 1. confessing to God that you have sinned, 2. acknowledging that your sins put distance between you and God, 3. asking Jesus to forgive your sins, 4. believing that Jesus is Lord and that he is the son of God.

Can you ask for salvation?

YES!

Go for it!

What are you waiting for???
