I already have a blog where I keep all my creative work. My life is changing a lot at the moment and there are lots of issues, beliefs and such that I find myself musing for hours over. I've decided that it might be a good idea to write my musings down somewhere. I have no idea where this will go so it will be an adventure, an exciting one I hope.

Get faithful to God

1 Samuel 17:50 - "So David triumphed over the Philistine with only a sling and a stone, for he had no sword" - David may not have had a sword in the physical meaning of the word, the mightiest weapon at that time. However he had something far, far greater within him - God, and that was due to his faithfulness.

Acts 4:13 - "When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realised that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus" - Peter saw that John had been very faithful to Jesus for a long time and this was rewarded by God. God chooses to accomplish great deeds through faith people.

Do you want God to do his good work through you? Get faithful!

Proverbs 3:3-4 - "Let love and faithfulness never leave you , bind them around your neck, write them on a tablet in your heart. Then you will win favour and a good name in the sight of God and man." - When you are seeking others to whom you can look up to, one of the characteristics of a suitable reputation is evidence of faithfulness. Faithfulness is absolutely essential if you wish to command a positive reputation. In hard times it can be your faithfulness to God that gets you through a situation in a way which no human could. Ultimately, we can rely on no earthly person. The only being that we can rely on is God.

2 Timothy 2:11-13 - "Here is a trustworthy saying; If we died in him; if we endure, we will also reign in him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself" - These verses are explaining to us that faithfulness is an essential part of love. You can be faithful to someone but not love them, but in order to love someone completely you have to also be faithful to them. I am certain that in your life you may have been entirely faithful to someone you didn't love. An abusive parent maybe? But can you also recognise a love in your life to whom you were also completely faithful? Perhaps your spouse, your mum or your child? This is the type of relationship that you need to develop with God. God loves you and will always, always be faithful to you, despite your sins. Model the love of Christ to others and remain faithful to them like God does when they fail you and let you down, which no doubt they will at certain points in your walk with them.

The knowledge and feeling that others are being faithful to you is awesome and will surely build your sense of security. And more importantly, there is nothing like the faithfulness of God to build your confidence in your eternal security.

Do you want to accomplish great things??? Get faithful to God!!!
