I already have a blog where I keep all my creative work. My life is changing a lot at the moment and there are lots of issues, beliefs and such that I find myself musing for hours over. I've decided that it might be a good idea to write my musings down somewhere. I have no idea where this will go so it will be an adventure, an exciting one I hope.

Change

Changing your mind - Nothing changes in your life unless you first change your mind. You can't keep doing things the same way all the time and expect to get a different result. It rarely occurs to us that it is us who need/ought/should change, we somehow always seem to get around to thinking that it is someone or something else that is at fault or needs to change. If you are not happy with your life then something needs to change and that probably involves you taking an active role in that. Nothing will change until your mind changes.

What's on your mind? - Take time out in the day to think about what you are thinking about.

You can think whatever you want to think. This is a big revelation for many but we can control our mind. We can change our moods and mindsets. We have the power and we have the freedom of choice thanks to Jesus. Your mind does not have to be a dustbin for the devil, don't let your mind get clogged up with negativity and bad thoughts. Change your mind, use God's Word to help this process begin.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 - "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." -.Nothing changes until your mind changes. Wishing and hoping for change won't bring about change. We need to actively renew our mind. How? With the Word of God. You need to study the Bible well in order to achieve success. We need to study and become life time learners and there is a life time of learning to do. God's word is full of life and power and we need to tap into that, repeatedly, constantly renewing our minds. When we commit to studying something transforms within us, it has for me. I am hungry and my appetite is incapable of being satisfied. I am pretty certain that the Word will keep me hungry for the rest of my earthly life.

If you meditate on the Word of God it will change you completely, for the better.

Romans 12:2 - " Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." - Don't just be a superficial Christian, spending an hour a week in church and doing nothing else is not being a Christian. Instead renew your mind daily, live in the Word of God constantly and let the Holy Spirit work within you. Until you start to study the Word you will not realise how ill your thinking is and how many things there are that you need to change. Studying helps you realise what needs changing and remember, all things can be done through Christ.

Ephesians 4:22 - " You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;" - Change is not a one off event. It is something that will happen every minute of every single day. As long as we are alive we are going to need to keep renewing our mind . We can stop acting our old way by constantly this constant renewing. Thoughts are powerful and if we don't take control of them, they will take control of us.

Ephesians 4:24 - "and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."
- This
verse points out to us that if we start acting the new way through daily renewal of our mind, we will gain nothing but good from it. God knows every thought that we think and wants us to develop a beautiful mind.

Changing the way you think about change - It might sound crazy but often the reason why we don't change and progress is because we have a negative attitude towards change. We fear it. We need to learn to love and embrace it. God's word will help. We hear some truth from the Bible and are convicted by it. We get to see how the person we should be becoming is in the Bible. The Bible is like our mirror. It's where we can see our negative qualities, what we ought not to be like but equally we can see what we ought to be like. Use the Word as you would use medicine. Find the scriptures you need and study them hard. The Word is the medicine we need.

Proverbs 23:7 - "for he is the kind of person  who is always thinking about the cost. "Eat and drink," he says to you, but his heart is not with you." - At the end of the day we have a choice, we do what we want to do. We need to decide if we want to change and what we want to change our life into. Everything is subject to change in your life - except God. All things are possible to change with God and he can do abundantly above and beyond what you expect. All things are possible with God.

People in the Bible dared to believe in change and look at the result!

God's word is the medicine you need to help you change!!!
