Hebrews 6:11-12 - "We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised."
It seems that the general thinking amongst non-Christians is that being a Christian is boring; no taking drugs, no sleeping around, no swearing - the list in their eyes in endless. In our eyes it is a blessing for instead of hangovers and STIs we have so very much more present in our lives.
Once you become a Christian you begin to realise how awesome this existence is and how little you had in your life before you knew Jesus. When you realise that God wants to work through you to accomplish some of his great work, you will be amazed and overcome at the great things he could do for you. You have been gifted with God-given gifts that you need to focus on developing and using in this life time as well as focusing on the eternal rewards that God promises to followers of Christ.
Part of the nature of being a true and faithful Christian is spreading God's word and doing good. Helping others find God is an awesome act, you have helped lead someone into changing their lives forever. You may be called by God to go work in a chosen field where the "clients" are in a very bad situation and need God's hand (via you) to help them turn their life around.
If you ever get to the stage where you are a bored Christian then you are not making yourself available to God and asking him to pour his blessings onto others through you.
Come join in his greatness!!!
