I already have a blog where I keep all my creative work. My life is changing a lot at the moment and there are lots of issues, beliefs and such that I find myself musing for hours over. I've decided that it might be a good idea to write my musings down somewhere. I have no idea where this will go so it will be an adventure, an exciting one I hope.

God speaks to people every day

Modern-day life is filled with noise: music, television, traffic, voices, animal calls - the list is endless. All these sounds have the potential to drown out the voice of God and push Him far into the background of our lives and minds. However, everything else in life eventually passes away and the day comes for every person when only God remains, but will he still be there after being ignored for so long?

In Romans 1:19-21 we are taught that what is known about God is evident to all because he has made himself known in the inner consciousness of mankind. When people don't want to serve God with their lives, when they want to go their own way, they find ways to hide from this inner consciousness.

Hearing from God is vital to enjoying his eternal plan for our lives. It is our decision to choose to listen to God, no one can make us, not even God. God won't force us to choose his will, but he will do everything he can to encourage us to agree with his ways.

In Proverbs 3, God's Word tells us to acknowledge him in "all our ways", and he will direct our paths. Acknowledging God is showing that you care what he thinks. In verse 7 it says "Be not wise in your own eyes.". This means that we should not even think that we can run our own lives successfully without God's help and direction. Regrettably for many, this is a lesson that takes far too long to be learnt.

Many people do not know that God talks to us on an individual basis. But through reading the Word we learn that God does want to talk to us and that he has a plan for our lives. It is God's will for us to attain knowledge of his plan through his divine guidance.

The Bible teaches us that God has a good plan for all those who put their faith in Jesus Christ and declare him to be the Lord of their lives. God's plan is complete and in great detail, and it will lead all who follow him to an abundant life.

If people don't listen to God's leading and follow him then they will never enjoy the fulfilment of God's perfect plan for their lives.
